Where does the name Sirius come from?

The name Sirius was given to this business when the co-founder was looking up to the sky one night and pondered what the brightest star in the night sky is called.

Sirius (also called Isis or Sothis) is the name of the brightest star in the night sky. The Sirius System is made up of two stars and the larger of the two is three times the mass of our sun and over ten times as bright, shining with a brilliant blue-white radiance.

Ancient Egyptians believed that Sirius had a tremendous effect upon life on our planet and we hope our coffee has the same effect on our customers.

Sirius Turkish Ibriq Coffee

Our Sirius Turkish Ibriq coffee is a traditional coffee loved by many.

Turkish coffee is a method of preparing coffee. Roasted and then finely ground coffee beans are boiled in a pot (cezve), usually with sugar, and served in a cup where the grounds are allowed to settle. This method of serving coffee is found in the Middle East, North Africa, the Caucasus, and the Balkans.

Sirius Coffee International is the authorised distributor of the Expobar, Fiamma, Iberital and La Marzocco coffee machines within Australia and S/E Asia. Sirius Coffee International can supply a coffee machine catering for the home market all the way through to larger commercial configurations capable of producing large volume coffee in a day.

Installation And Commissioning Of Equipment

Sirius Coffee International offers clients who purchases our equipment, Australia wide installation and commissioning of all our coffee machines and vending machines. For interstate purchases we have technicians throughout Australia that we can recommend for installation and commissioning. This service is optional extra and the cost varies between $250 and $350 for installation and commissioning.

For our line of commercial coffee machines (1,2,3 or 4 group coffee machines), this usually involves the following:

  • Connection to mains water for cafes, restaurants, offices and home or for coffee carts and mobile vans connection to a water tank with a one-way-valve.
  • Connection of the coffee machine lead to power plug.
  • Setting up of volumetrics to cater for single small shot, double small shot, single long shot and double long shot. i.e. 15 mls, 30 mls, 45 mls, 60 mls

Please note that exclusions to this are serving offering are:

  • The cost of the tank, which Sirius Coffee International can provide at an additional cost to the client,
  • Any fastening of the coffee machine for mobile carts / vans is charged at any extra cost,
  • Any drilling of holes into the work bench is the responsibility of the client but can be charged at an extra cost.

For our line of commercial vending machines, this usually involves the following:

  • Connection to mains water for cafes, restaurants and offices.
  • Connection of the coffee machine to power.
  • Setting up of volumetrics and grinding to cater for cappuccino, café latte, long black, macchiato, hot chocolate for cups varying from 8 Oz to 16 Oz.

All work is carried out by licensed and qualified tradesmen and Sirius Coffee International can supply documentation to our clients that the work undertaken has been carried out according to Australia safety compliance regulations and the manufacturer’s high standards.

Australia Wide Servicing of Equipment

Sirius Coffee International offers Australia wide equipment servicing and repair of our coffee machines, coffee grinders, vending machines and dripolators that we sell. The turnaround time for general servicing or repair is generally under a week.

For clients based in Victoria, Sirius Coffee International can co-ordinate with the client to undertake the servicing or repair of the coffee machine, coffee grinder or vending machine. For domestic equipment, we can arrange to have the client drop off the equipment for servicing or repair to be undertaken at our Ashburton showroom. For commercial equipment, our authorised technicians will visit the cafe’, restaurant or office to undertake the service or repair.

For interstate purchases we have technicians throughout Australia that we can recommend for all servicing or repairs. You also have the option to send the coffee machine, coffee grinder, vending machine or dripolator to our showroom in Ashburton, Victoria for servicing and repairs.

For domestic coffee machines (1 group coffee machines), this usually involves the following:

  • Descaling of equipment,
  • Cleaning of equipment,
  • Group seal replacement,
  • Shower group replacement,
  • Water softener replacement,
  • Valve anti-vac 1/4 replacement (if required),
  • O-ring steam pipe to tap nut replacement,
  • Steam arm swivel spring replacement,
  • O-ring steam tip Expobar replacement,
  • Pressure testing or ensure no leaks.

For commercial coffee machines (1,2,3 or 4 group coffee machines), this usually involves the following:

  • Group seal replacement,
  • Shower group replacement,
  • Mains water filter replacement,
  • Valve anti-vac 1/4 replacement,
  • O-ring steam pipe to tap nut replacement,
  • Steam arm nut Teflon gasket replacement,
  • Steam arm swivel spring replacement,
  • Steam arm swivel brass collar replacement,
  • O-ring steam tip Expobar replacement,
  • Pressure testing or ensure no leaks.

The costs relating to repairs can be additional depending on the issue and time involved to rectify. Items such as element replacement, pump replacement, control touch panel replacement etc. will exceed the general service charge and will be charged additionally.

All servicing and repairs are carried out by licensed and qualified tradesmen using genuine manufacturer parts. Sirius Coffee International can supply documentation to our clients that the work undertaken has been carried out according to Australia safety compliance regulations and the manufacturer’s high standards.

Quality Coffee at a Great Price

Warranty Policies And Procedures

Consumer Rights

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law stipulates that our coffee machines, coffee grinders, vending machines and dripolators come with a warranty guarantee that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. As a consumer you are entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced or exchanged if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality.

Warranty Inclusions

As Sirius Coffee International is the authorised distributor of world famous equipment lines such as Expobar, Fiamma, La Marzocco, Coffee Queen, Iberital, Compak, Mazzer and Macap, your new coffee machine or coffee grinder or vending machine or coffee dripolator comes standard with a 12 months parts warranty against any manufacturing defects. Additionally, there is an option to extend the parts warranty to 2yrs at additional cost.

All warranty claims can be made through Sirius Coffee International in Ashburton, Victoria and our authorised service technicians throughout Australia will be engaged to rectify any manufacturing fault. Parts are covered as standard for the warranty period. Any labour associated to with the time taken to rectify this will be charged to the client.

Warranty Exclusions

Your standard parts warranty period does not cover normal wear and tear to coffee machine parts such as group head seals, gaskets, portafilter handles, baskets and shower screens. Additionally inadequately filtered water, lime scaling and corrosion due to high chloride ion concentrations in water are not covered. Similarly, for coffee grinders, normal wear and tear to parts such as burrs, hoppers, lids, digital displays and adjustment knobs are not covered. Furthermore, the warranty does not cover negligence, improper use or maintenance or unauthorised repairs or modifications. The parts warranty will also not apply if the damage has been caused by power surges or power failures.

When making a warranty claim, please note that any shipping or associated travel costs are not reimbursed under the parts warranty.

Making a Claim

Raising an claim is simply a matter of contacting Sirius Coffee International on admin@siriusconsulting.com.au or phone 0402 488 089. Sirius Coffee International will advise you of the nearest warranty service location if based outside of Victoria. Alternatively, Sirius Coffee International will organise for your machine, grinder, vending machine or coffee dripolator to be sent back to our showroom for assessment & repair. During the assessment, Sirius Coffee International will choose the most appropriate course of action of rectifying this such as providing you with a repair or replacement.

In order to obtain a refund, exchange or to repair a product purchased from Sirius Coffee International, you must have a clear proof of purchase. i.e Invoice or Receipt. If we cannot be satisfied that you purchased the product from us then, under the Australian consumer law, we are entitled to reject a warranty claim. Please keep in mind that Sirius Coffee International has a record of all model and serials numbers for the coffee machines, coffee grinders, vending machines and dripolators that we sell. Your serial number is required for any warranty claim and this serial number can be found on the equipment and user manual.

Warranty Assessment

Once proof of purchase has been confirmed, Sirius Coffee International will carry out an assessment and either offer you either a refund, exchange or repair. The available remedy will depend on the issue at hand. Sirius Coffee International may need to consult with the manufacturer or importer to determine the fault and resolution. Nearly every fault can be easily repaired within a reasonable time frame. In many cases, the resolution will come down to simply advising the client on its correct use.

1. Do I have to register?

Yes, you will need to become a registered user in order to purchase products from us. Once you have registered, an email will be sent to you to verify your email address and a temporary password to login to your account. The Products you have purchased will then be sent to your address.

2. I lost my password. What should I do?

No problem at all. Simply click on Forgot Password and enter your username or email address and we will send you an email with a temporary password to login. From there, you will then be able to overwrite with your own password.

3. Are your prices in Australian dollars?

Yes all products and services are in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST. Please note: Coffee is not subject to GST.

4. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept VISA, MasterCard or PayPal or direct EFT payments. All payments are processed via PayPal – The easiest and safest payment solution.

5. How will I receive the Product I have bought?

As soon as you have placed your order and completed the payment process, the products that you have purchased will be sent to your delivery address via Australia Post.

6. How long will it take for me to receive the Products?

Once the purchase has been made, the Products will be sent to your delivery address within 7-10 business days via Australia Post.
